POLICE FORCE.
PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. (mass association jwjhhum.) WELLINGTON, December 14. The Commissioner of Police announces the following promotions and transfers in the force: Inspector J. Cummings, transferred from Dunedin to Wellington, where he will be attached to the Commissioner's office. ' Senior-Sergeant Donald Cameron (Dunedin), promoted to bo sub-inspec-tor and remains in Dunedin. Sergeant Caldwell (Waihi), promoted to be senior sergeant and transferred to Wellington. Sergeant Sivyer (Taumarunui), transferred to Wellington South, relieving Sergeant Hogan, who is retiring on superannuation. , Sergeant Felton (Newton Station, Auckland), transferred to Taumarunui. Constable Black (Nelson), promoted to be sergeant and transferred to Auckland.
