NORTH BEACH SURF CLUB.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At a meeting of the executive of the North Beach Surf Club Mr D. H. Symes presided. The sub-committee set up to arrange for a r.ew competition costume and badge presented its report, and it was decided to adopt the costume and badge recommended. It was agreed to vote 10s 6d towards the North Beach Progress League's Christmas party for the children of the unemployed in North Beach. ' A letter was received from the Canterbury Head Centre of the Royal Life-Saving Society stating that the New Zealand championships would be held in Christchurch this year, and inviting nominations tor persons to act as officials. It was decided not to enter a team from the club for the Nelson Shield, nor to nominate officials for that competition. The following nominations were agreed to for the William Henry Memorial competition:—-Marshal, Mr H. J Ballin; judges, Messrs W. A. Smith, G. Pearse, D. v. Wilson; timekeepers, Messrs T. Daltoh and H. Throp; timekeepers' stew ard, Mr C. Cooper. The following new members were elected:— Misses K. Talbot, J. Ooe, and M. Nelson, Messrs G. h. Leighton, S. V. Glasgow, J Dru.mmond, T. H. L. Butcher, W. J. Pease, .1 L. Robinson, D. W. Bain, D. Burns, and F. <T. Mhrfietts. It whs decided to nominate Mr A. T. Dalton for appointment as beach patrol and to have the beach patrolled frr»m December 3Xst to January 29th.
