DR. T. H. A. VALINTINE.
PRESENTATION AT EI.THAM. (rasas AUoaiTio* riiioiu.) ELTHAAf, December 12. The respect with which Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, formerly Director-General of Health, is held throughout the Health Department of the Dominion,, was typified at Eltham this afternoon, when he received a presentation at a representative conference of health and sanitary inspectors from Wanganui to New Plymouth. Speaking on behalf of the conference, Mr Fear (Wanganui) said Dr. Valintine had endeared himself to the whole service. He was a gentleman v in the true sense of the word, and always treated those under him as such. Added to this was the personal touch and charm characteristic of him. man had done more for the public health of the Dominion than Dr. Valintine. In the course of a feeling reply, Or. Valintine paid a tribute to the efficiencv and loyalty of the service, and urged that the control of milk supply should be .brought under the control of the Department, from the time the milk left the cow till it reached the consumer. • ' .The Mayor of Eltham, Mr I. «»• Bridger, also. eulogised Dr..
