(Received December 13th, 4.5 P-W«) ALGIERS, December 12. • An empty rubber boat, which "was washed ashore, has-btfen identified M -- the equipment of the French. Algiejw Marseilles mail aeroplane, which- was brought down in the Mediterranean by engine trouble on December 9th. The crew sent a wireless message stating that they had, as a precaution, ripped , the canvas off the wings to prevent the aeroplane's destruction in a. rougn sea. This was their last word. Hopes attached to the boat indicated that . they had tied themselves in, but the storm washed them out.
