One commenced snoring while the other left the tent by passing under the rear; He pounced on. the visitor as he entered through the flap. The natives then trussed up the man, who is named Patrick O'Shannessey, and sent for the police. The Magistrate this morning .imposed a sentence of six months' hard-labour. He described the prisoner as a pest to the community. O'Shannessey had several previous convictions.
