THEATRE ROYAL. "MAN OF THE WORLD" AND "CITY STREETS." William Powell achieves the greatest success of his distinguished career on the talking screen in "Alan of the World," the main feature of the programme at tho Theatre Royal this week. He is well known to picturegoers of Christchurch, and in tho past has made himself a favourite and has won a great reputation. Never before, however, has he acted eo dramatically or interpreted his part 0o ably. "Man of the World" will be remombercd for the acting of Powell, if for no other reason. The other picture showing is "City Streets," a dramatic romance, with Gary Cooper in the leading part. Quick action and nn absorbing story make _it a fu.e drama. It offers also a romance, interwoven with "doijble-crossings" and gang warfare.
