A shower fell in the afternoon. Forecast/ General Situation —The northern disturbance has disappeared, and ono of a series of westerly depressions has been crossing the South Island to day. A weak anticyclone still covers the Northern Tasman Sea. Winds—Moderate south-westerly north of Kawhia and East Cape, elsewhere westerly, and at times south-westerly, moderate to fresh generally, but strong . and squally about Oook and Fovoaux Straits.

Seas (N.Z. waters) —Rather rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and JToveaux Straits, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Seat—Moderate to strong west to south-west wind®, irlth rather rough seas. Weather —Fair to cloudy featrally, but becoming unsettled cooa.
