In a contest that will go down as the greatest ever witnessed in New Plymouth, Johnny Lockio (Napier), Sst 1181b, wrested tho feather-weight title from Tommy Donovan (Waitara), Bst 12 J lb, on Saturday night. Leckie displayed a return to his best form, and on two occasions in the fourth and final rounds Donovan just beat the count, at times being out on his feet. Donovan fought with indomitable courage. Tho bout_ was marked by sustained and furious Tallies, and the spectators "wero in a stato of intense excitement throughout. PALMER MAY VISIT NEW ZEALAND.
