A small penguin that had been swimming about iii the Wellington harbour last week attracted much attention frotti people passing along the wharves. tt was generally to be seen in the water off the wharf near the harbourmaster's office, and its principal pursuit was chasing shoals of BtnalJ fish. Thiß it did with deadly effect on the fish, and they could be seen leaping out of the wat«r to escape the bird's attention*.
