The Holmdale is timed to load hero on Tuesday for Wellington, Picton, and angnnui. The Port AUna left Auckland at 1.30 p.m. yesterday for London. The Aorangi is due at Auckland to-mor-roiv from Vancouver, via ports. The Monowai sailed from Sydney at op.m, on Thursday for Wellington, and is due thcro on Monday morning. CO-OPERATION WITH RAILWAY COMPANIES. The following official announcement was mado in Montreal this week: — Co-operation between Canada'B two gfeat railway companies registered an important advance hero to-day, when it was officially announced that an agreement had been reaohed whereby the Canadian National will co-oper-ata with tho Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian Pacific SteankShips in the advertising and solicitation of freight, passenger, and express traffic for Canadian Pacific ships to and from Canadian Atlantic ports. In other words, the two railway companies have agreed to work together to pro* mote tail and steamship business originating across tlie Atlantic, or that gofes tiiroUgh of from Canada to European ports. While under this arrangement the steamship company will have the advantage of securing businesa originating on the Canadian Na* tional lines, the agreement aIBO provides tot a Compensating advantage to the Canadian National in tho fail haul of freight, passem ger, and express business to and from th« ships of the Canadian Pacific.
