TERRORISM IN BENGAL.
MAGISTRATE WOUNDED. {rKITtU PRESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYBIOHT.) CALCUTTA, October 28. The heavy list of terrorist crimes in Bengal was added to when Mr L. Durno, District Magistrate and Collector "at Dacca, was shot at and wounded by terrorists. Mr Durno was seated in a car the main street, when his assailants fired point-blank. One bullet struck his temple and another h|s fape. He was sent to hospital in a serious condition. YOUNG INDIAN ATTEMPTS ASSASSINATION. MERCHANT WOUNDED. (Received October 30th, 1.20 a.m.) CALCUTTA, October 29. Mr Ed\vard Yilliers, a Calcutta merchant and presiflent of the European Association of India, narrowly escaped assassination while talking to two Englishmen in his office. A young Indian rushed into the room and fired three shots, one striking Mr 'Villiers in the right side o'f his body. The assailant was captured by the Europeans.
