Durno, District Magistrate and Collector "at Dacca, was shot at and wounded by terrorists. Mr Durno was seated in a car the main street, when his assailants fired point-blank. One bullet struck his temple and another h|s fape. He was sent to hospital in a serious condition. YOUNG INDIAN ATTEMPTS ASSASSINATION. MERCHANT WOUNDED. (Received October 30th, 1.20 a.m.) CALCUTTA, October 29. Mr Ed\vard Yilliers, a Calcutta merchant and presiflent of the European Association of India, narrowly escaped assassination while talking to two Englishmen in his office. A young Indian rushed into the room and fired three shots, one striking Mr 'Villiers in the right side o'f his body. The assailant was captured by the Europeans.
