RANGI-RURU GIRLS. 'Hires sew record* were made at the annual •ports meeting ot glrli of Eangi-Boru School, which waa held yesterday in ideal weather at »the trotting grounds, Addington. In' the 220 yds open race the existing record of SOsec was lowered by B. Morrow by 2-5 ol • second; M. Ooop reduepd the time for' the 220 yds junior championship to SXseo, clipping 1 8-ssec off the record, and the high jump record of 4ft was bettered by 1 of an inch by J. Ormerod. All times were good, considering that the races were run against a fairly strong "breeze, and generally the performances in flat and* field events were up to standard. Big fields contested tho open and old girls', races, and no fewer than 62 present girls left the m&rk in the obstacle race. , The senior championship was won by. O. Reeee (ten points), with B. Morrow (8) runner-up. M., Coop, with 23 points, had an easy victory in the junior championship, in which M. Hill wag, runner-up with six points. The' prites were presented by Mrs R.
