Norman ("Wizard") Smith leaves for New Zealand about thd middle of November. He expects to make an attempt on the speed record at Ninety Mile Beach on November 20th. His car, which resembles the Golden Arrow, is almost completed, the finishing touches now being added at local engineering works. Smith received a cordial letter from Sir Malcolm Campbell wishing him success, but giving not the slighest hint - whether he is visiting either Australia or New Zealand as anticipated.
