A director of an important business in. England has analysed the conversation of women, '/among themselves," and he has compiled a table from, which it appears that 50 per cent, of their talk concerns dress, 15 per cent. men. 10 per cent, children, and 5 per cent! theatres, 4 'talkies," servants, sport, beauty, and the home. Numbers of the post offices along the British coast are quaint and rather charming—but distinctly on the small side. So every year there are numbers of visitors who wonder if their particular holiday post office is "the smallest ever." '"l'm sure it must be!" they say. But they, are all wrong. In© smallest post office is not in Britain _ at all, or in any other country. It is in the btraits of Magellan, and consists of a small painted cask chained to rocks in-such a way as to allow it to float freely. Passing ships send a boat to it to take letters out and put others in. And as; naturally, there is no postmaster, this floatm K post t'ihee is under the protection of all the navies of the world.
