TERRORISM IN IRELAND.
ALARMING SPREAD. TWO OUTRAGES REPORTED. (UNITED I'UESS ASSOCIATION—BV ELECTUIC TELEGRAPH—COPVRIoIITO (Rci :ivcd September 15th, 10.40 p.m.) LONDON, September 14. The Dublin correspondent of "The Times" says that William Macluerney, a well-known resident of Kilrush, was brutally shot down on his own doorstep immediately lifter picking up a strange missive headed with skull and crossbones, arid reading, "Spies, beware." The shooting was done by rucn on bicycles. Madneniey is in hospital in a serious condition. The charred body of P. J. Mulligan, of Sligo, was found on a lonely cliff. This followed a mysterious summoning from his bed in the middle of the night. r l.hese and other outrages are associated with the alarming spread of terrorism and illegal drilling, which continues openly throughout the country. Sean MacUridc, an Extremist Leader, speaking at County Kerry, boasted of the progress the revolutionary movement Mas making.—"The Times" Cable.
