Emmott Robinson the Yorkshire cricketor, will retire from tho County club at the end of the present season. His intense keenness, his highly characteristic bowling run. and his brilliant fielding have made him conspicuous whereovor Yorkshire have played. Kobinson will be 47 in November and it is -an e>:traordinarv teature about his county career that he did not find a place in tho Yorkshire team until he was in his '3stb year Sir Frederick Toone used humorously to say, aQ was so keen that we simply eould not keep him out." Robinson had his fit last year, and the amount realised was £2205.
