.—» • CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. • ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The •ighteenth annual meeting of the Canterbury Croquet Association was held on Friday night, Mr A. G. P. Boss presiding, anrl the following were present: ilesdames Loithead, Turner, Kellaway, Dey, Beeby, Beanland,. Lohrey, Shankland, Miss Bain, and Messrs Grant, Tomlinson, Tyera, and Rawnsley. The following officer.! were elected for the jear:—President, Mr A. G. F. Ross; vicepresidents, Mesdames Beanland, Johnson, Moore," and Messrs Lill, Tomlinson, and Rawnsley; referee, Mr T. F. Chambers; handicapper, Mr A. G. F. Ross- assistanthandicapper, Mr W. M. Tyers; auditor. Mr Bobbins; tournament manager, Mr S. McCullough; assists nt-lournament manager, as may be' appointed; secretary' and treasurer, Mr S. McCullough; Tourhaqient and Competitions Committee,' Mesdamei Beanland, Leitbead, Maddren, Turner, and Messrs Grant, Richardson, E. J; Boss, Holmes, and Rawnsley. . \ It was decided xo carry out the usual flag competitions this season, but an alteration was made in the pennant, players having one bisque or less being declared ineligible. The annual tournament is to be held, play starting on Boxing Day.' Junior events will be excluded and a junior tournament will be held some time about the end of February or early in March. A vote o! sympathy was passed with Mrs Fcrguion, members standing.
