' .* MONTHLY SHOOT AT METHVEN. j_ , , IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. The Hethven Gun Club, held its monthly (hoot on Saturday, when the weather conditions were ideal'lor shooting. Thero _was a good light and a . complete/absence A fairly lengthy 'programme of four trophy and the cup shoot* was put on, and honours in each case were well distributed among shooters, of whom there was a good muster. The principal shoot was that for the President's Cup, and thiso produced fair shooting, but the winner, G. A. Franks, put on a possible of 14, all off the first barrel. This is Franks's second leg in for the cup, which has •to be won three times in succession or four .times at intervals. ■ln two of the trophy shoots competitors had to face the trap a second time before a decision was reaclied. At the close of the day's programme Mr H. J. - Freeman, president, presented the, cups and trophies and congratulated the winners on their successes.
