JULES VERNE EXCELLED.
WILKINS AND PARTY. PRAISE FOR DAZZLING STORY. (tJXITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—3Y ELICTftIO TELEGRAPH—COPTEM3T.) (Received Soptembor 7th, 7.45 p.m.) LONDON, September 7. The "News-ChrOnicle," under the heading, "Very Brave Men," expresses the opinion that the party under Sir Hubert Wilkins have added a considerable sum to the total of human knowledge in the direction of scientific and ecological investigation, which should be of the highest importance. Their daxzlittg description of the world under the sea is even mora marvellous than tho imagination of Jules Verne. [A United Press Association cablegram from Oslo yesterday reported that wireless transmission fx-om 'Sir Hubert Wilkins's submarine, the Nautilus, lasted twenty minutes, but the contents Of tho message had not been divulged. It apparently contained •'the dazzling description" referred to by the London journal, and probably a statement as to the achievements of the expedition in respect of scientific and geological investigation.]
