The Governor-General hold an investiture at Government House this evening, at hia Excellency presented to Mr B- A. Anderson, at Invercargill, and }jr G. A. Troup, formerly Mayor of Wellington, the Insignia of Companions Of the Order Of §t, Michael and St, George. , His Excellency also presented to Mr William Waddel, lately Superintendent of the State Advances Department, Wellington, the insignia of a Commander of the Civil Division of the Order of tho British Empire. Investiture was followed by a reception at which a largo number of guest 3 were received by their Excellencies.
