"DIRIGIBLE."
"Dirigible," at the Majeßtie Theatre this week,. is one of the most spectacular aviation in relation to airships as contrasted with aeroplanes—that have come to Christchurch. There is some particularly good "stunt" flying. The story concerns an airship commander (Jack Holt) who desires, to bo given the opportunity of demonstrating what lighter-than-air machines can do by taking a famous explorer to the South Pole. The first venture ends in disaster when the airship crashes into the Bea as the result of a storm. An aeroplane pilot (Ralph Graves), who has resented being displaced from the expedition, decides to make an aeroplane dash for the Pole from an Antarctic base. He succeeds in getting there, but in a spirit of foolhardiness tries to land, and wrecks _ the machine with a result that the party is stranded beyond hope of succour. An airship—Holt's new command—goes to the rescue, and is successful in picking np Pierce and one other survivor when thoy are at the last gasp.
