REPERTORY THEATRE SOCIETY.
TO-NIGHT'S PRODUCTIONS
To-night and on Monday nijht, in the Radiant Hall, there will bo staged by the Canterbury Repertory Society, three one-act plays and a scene from Shakespeare. The one-act plays are "Seven Women," by J. M, Barrie, "The Camberley Triangle," by A. A. Mline, "The Bear," by A. Tchekov, and in addition net 2, scene 3 of "Othello." "Seven Women" is n fine example ol the work of Sir James Barrie, treated in his customary whimsical manner. The plot leaves the audience in the air until the climax, zAucb as it did the leading actor of the play, Captain Rattray. "The Camberley Triangle" is the story of the intruder on the Camberley household during the husband's absence on v/ar service iu India. The triangle is splendidly treated by Milne in an entirely new and uovel manner. "The Bear" is a typical work of thd Russian author Anton Tc<;ekov. It is filled with the boisterous Russian nature, and while in some authors' hands the plot would fail, the treatment by an artist aucli as Tchekov makes a delightful scene. The drinking and quarrel scene from "Othello" is too well known by lovers of Shakespeare to need comment. It is one of Mb most dramatic scenes, and the present presentation by Miss Kiore King, with a cast including Dr. Robinson Hall and Professor J. Shelley, leaves little to be desired.
The box plans for the two nights ar» now open at The Bristol Piano Co.
