MAJOR H. D. JACKSON. (UMTED PB¥BB ASSOCIATION —81 BLICTBIO TELEGBAPH—COPtaIOHT.) SYDNEY,. August 28. The death is announced of Majfff Henry Drunmond Jackson, aged 75. He had a long and distinguished »#- tary career. He took part in the ?rt u War, and had a Brother killed ft Korke's JJrift. Major Jackson himself was in the contingent which n}areJ»6tt to the relief of the survivors. #mS q served in the Boer War and played a prominent part in the formation of t&e New ?ea]and Mounted Infantry tontingents, which ho accompanied to South Africa.
