EFFECT OF COMPULSORY EDUCATION. (FXXXED I'rtESS ASSOCIATION' —BY ELECTEXO IELEGE APE—COPYRIGHT.) (Received August 16th, 5.5 p.m.) MOSCOW, August 14. On tho first anniversary of the establishment of universal compulsory education., it is announced that 17,500,000 children, representing 82 per cent, of tho children of school age, are already in schools, compared with 7,000,000 under the Tsar regime. Studies aro conducted in 70 languages.
