EAST CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL.

At the- monthly meeting of the East Christchurch School Committee there were present: Messrs S. Baird (chairman), H. S. Brewer, \V. M. Campbell, S. J Green, L. A. King, W. A. Manri, A. T. Stokes, Mrs L. Gillespie, and Mrs E. Pearson. The headmaster (Mr 0. G. M. Boyce) reported that the roll number was 635, with an average attendance of 80 pet cent. A concert in aid of the schobl funds had been arranged by the staff, to be held in tho Choral Hall on Thursday, AugUßt 20th, Mr W. Campbell was elected to fill the vacancy on the committee. Messrs S. J. Green and L. A. King were appointed a visiting committee.
