CARNIVAL IN CALEDONIAN HALL.
. .—+ There Mas again a large attendance at the Maori Hui and Greeucourts Carnival in the Caledonian Hal! 'net ovoning. The Maori items, which include a Powhiri, pois, and Bongs, ore proving very popular with the public. In the tug-of-war last evening the Davis Gelatino Co. beat Graham Bros, by three inches, and the Maori team beat the R.N V.R. by five inches. Thero aro side-shows, offering all kinds of onterlaintnent, and stalls from which fancy goods, sweets, and produce may be bought. The carnival, which is under the auspices of the Elmwood Bowling Club nnd the AVeslev Tennis Club. \vill be continued to-day at, '3.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
