r ——■-*- MR W. F. LARKIN. [THE PBESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, August UMr Walter F. Larkin, for eightee* years general manager of Sliarland and Company, wholesale druggists, died suddenly at, his home at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Mr Larkin, who was 59 years of age, was born in Auckland, and entered Sharlands as a bv>'He rose to be general manager, _imposition from which he retired months ago. During the past few days, Mr Larkio had not been in the best of health, but he was in town this afternoon, collapsing shortly- after his return home. As a yeung . man, Mr Larkin was a tfell known Rugby player, and an excellent sprint runner. He Was an old member of the Wellington Commercial Club, and was a member of the JJoaia of Trustees. He leaves a widow,, two sons, and two daughters.
