GANDHI NOT GOING TO LONDON. DECISION OP CONGRESS. (OSITID ?HtS3 ASSOCIATION —B7 ILBCTMC TELEQKATH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received August 14th, 11.50 p.m>) CALCUTTA, August 14. Mr Gandhi said although the Congress had decided not to participate in tie Round Table Conference at London there was no intention of resuming civil disobedience at once and the Delhi settlement need not necessarily be ooasidered cancelled. Ho and his colleague* have cancelled their passages to London. The "Calcutta Statesman," in a leading article, says: We believo ther« will be general relief throughout India that the Congress, which stands for secession from the Empire, is definitely to havo no part in the Conference. The way is now clear for co-operators. The sooner a responsible Federal India comes into being and deals with this menace to society the better. There will be a» immediate sharp division into two camps.
