HEAZLEWOOD TRANSFERRED. (PJ2E9B ASSOCIATION TELEORAIt.) WELLINGTON, June 25. Xj. K. Heaslewood, the well-known football representative, has been transferred from Ot«co to Auckland. Heazlewood has represented Wellington, Otago, and the Soutli Island as full-back. WAIMATE SUB-UNION. The Waimate Rugby Sub-Union met on Monday. Present: Messrs D. C. Brown (piesident), A. Sawell, Y. M. Horn, J. Deneh, D. M. Webster, G. J. Kelly, G. Kilworth, W. J. Jones, J. V. Riach, D. Keyes, and J. Heath. In connexion with the application to the New Zealand Union for a loan of £3OO, the Scuth Canterbury Union advised that it could not be granted as no money was available at present. Further representations were being made on the Sub-Union's behalf, and it was hoped to secure favourable reconsideration of the application-. The Waitaki Sub-Union agreed to July 2nd. as the date for the annual representative match. Tho president reported. on the representative {fame against South Canterbury last Thursday. He said the visiting team had 4>een entertained to dinner after the match, unci the gathering had been a happy one. The secretary reported that the receipts last Thursday had been £lB 7s the outside gate and £3 7s 6d at the stand gale. , On- the motion of Mr Dench, it was dooided -to write thanking the South Canterbury Union for sending down a team and providing a good game. Mr Heath moved that on the occasion of a representative match, all players be admitted free. The motion was loat by six votes to three. In order to give the working boy a chance, Mr Sawell moved that Gd be charged junior players, High School pupils, and children under sixteen, the pupils of the primary schools to bo exempted from any charge. At a meeting of the delegates of, the above Union, held on Saturday night last, if, was decided to play the Delargey Shield match . against Peninsula Sub-Union at Cheviot on July 18th.
