Lady Mary Graham, elder daughter o£ tbe Duke and Duchess of Montrose,_ believes in entering matrimony fully 'prepared to grapple with its domestic problems. After the announcement of her engagement last June she began a course of training in domestic science at a London "housewives' academy," where no servants are kept. Lady Mary Graham and her fellow-papils were taught the routing of modern kitchenwork, and were in turn allotted tasks as- housemaids, cooks, aud laundry-maids, until at the end of the course each girl was equipped for the perfect conduct of a home.
