The Gale is due to-day from Wanganui w'th cattle. , The Foxton, which has been sheltering at Kaikoura, was eipected during the night from Foston with cattle. The Toes. Trhir.h had been at anchor in the stream during the recent gale, resumed her voyage from Wellington to' Dunedin yesterday morning. She is expected here on Sun- | day, and is to load on Monday for "Welling- ! ton. New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Holmdale is due this morning from the south to take in cargo for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Kahilca is ta . arrive here to-day from Timnra and is to -sail, this afternoon for Napier and Gisborne. The Kuku is to be dispatched to-day for Nelson, Sfotueka, and Wellington. The Opihi is now due to-morrow from the south to take in cargo for Nelson and New Plymouth. She sails via Wellington. The Storm should arrive here _ to-night, from Wellington, and is timed to sail to-mor-row for Dunedin, Oamaru. and Timaru. . The Mataroa arrived at Wellington yesterday from London and Southampton. Captain A. E. Kershaw is in command. The Kaikorai is to complete discharge of her cargo of Newcastle coal here to-day and will sail for Newcastle. The Waiotapu should arrive here on Sunday from ' Wellington to continue discharge of her lios Angeles cargo. "The Waimarino is to coioplete loading here to-day for Auckland, and sails via Wellington. • ' I The Port Hobart, which left Dunedin on Hay 14th, arrived at London on Saturday. To complete her Homeward loading, the Port Fairy vas. to leave Napier on Wednesday night for Auckland. She is , timed to sail finally from Auckland for London, via Panama, to-day. Sailing from Wellington on May 28th for London, via Capo Horn, the' Devon arrived at Montevideo on June 20th, and sailed on the following day in continuation of her voyage. The intercolonial motor-ship Port Waikato,has left Whangarei for Port Stephens and' Newcastle to load a timber cargo for Auckland, Lyttelton, and Timaru. The Tongariro, which sailed from Wellington on Hay 4 th, arrived at London on June 19th. She will later proceed to Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow to discharge. She brought S6OO tons oi rofined oil, of which about 8300 tons are for Wollirigton, and the remainder for Lyttelton end Dunedin. The Lucerna. was built by Palmer and Co., NewcasUe, in 1930, and is of 6556 tons gross register. ORARI'S FAST PASSAGE. Leaving Gisborne at U p.m. oil June Ist fot ' London, the New Zealand Shipping Company's new motor vessel Ornri nrri\od at Balboa on the morning of June 19th—a run of 17J days. This time is remarkably fast, as for the distance ships usually take -19 to 21 days. The Orari sailed from Colon the aame day.
