"ONE HEAVENLY NIGHT."

Although lb®, picture "One Heavenly flight" has been showing at the Plaza Theatre for over a, week it continues to draw crowded houses. In this picture Evelyn Laye, one of the most popular stresses o! the London stage, makes her .first appearance in talking pictures. She is pretty and hits a charming- personality. Her voice, for both singing and speaking purpose, is delightful. Her capabilities as an actress are beyond doubt. In this pioture Miss Laye .is cast in a rather .difficult role in the' first instance, but In the sipry she has to impersonate another character, and she performs her part in an extraordinarily capublo manner. Supporting her/ there are John Boles, famous for his performance in "Rio Rita'" who is even better in this picture, and Leon Enrol, who is funnier than he has ever been before. "One Heavenly Night" . easily maintains the high standard that has been set by P'ctures screened previously at the Plaza. The producers have discovered new methods of making a Picture entertaining, and have used those methods to the best advantage.

"THE BAT WHISPERS."

Slamming doora! Moaning winds! Piercing shrieks!, Murder! Cries! Thrills and moro thrills are amongst the many hairraising effects that are eaid to make "The Whispers" the greatest of all thrilling mystery pictures yet to be brought to tho screen. It opens at tho Plaza Theatre on Fyiday next, and Ht makes another fine attraction to the list of splendid productions screened in this theatrs. It is claimed that this new release makes other mystery play# look much like nursery rhymes in comparison, and if this is \o, then patrons at tha Plaza can look forward to really exciting entertainment.
