PREPARING FOR DEPARTURE.

NEW YORK, May 30,
A message from New London, Connecticut, says efforts for the speedy departure to the North Pole of Sir Hubort Wilkins' submarine are under way. Following a shoal water test to-day, fuelling was commenced and will be completed not later than Sunday, at then a deep sea dive is planned before the craft starts across tho Atlantic. Sir Hubert Wilkins is anxious to reach Spitzbergen by JulyiSthtocomplete the Polo journey during tho Arctic Bummer.
