SATURDAY. (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., Mrs T. E. Taylor, J.P., and Mr W. M. West, J.P.) BOYS FINED. A boy aged 15 was fined 2s 6d for driving a car without a driver's license. Another h°y, aged 16, was fined 2s Gd for cycling at night without a light. STOLE FROM FATHER. , A boy aged 111, who stole £l4 from his father, was admonished and placed under the care- of the Child Welfare Officer, lie had previously been under the officer's super; vision, and was on license at tho time of the offence Detective-Sergeant ,J. 13. Young said, the boy had been living with His father and had Btplen the money. Then he left boihe- abd slept out all Ho spent some of the money in buying starter's pistol 3 and other things fascinating to boys. He had been found imitating Tom Mix in Latimer squaro. £0 Cs 6d was left. THEFT OF LAMPS. A hoy aged 16 was charged with stealing" tw<, eioctrio head-lamps from bicycles. Another, aged 15, was charged'with aiding and' abetting the first boy in.the theft and.with receiving one of the lamps. . ■ Both were placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for a period of two yc-ar.i. Sergeant D. Hyland said a taxi-driver had seen the boys take a lamp from a bicycle in a right-of-way and had caught them in his taxi.
