THE PLAZf. "ONE HEAVENLY NIGHT." Since the Plaza, opened it has become famous for the exceptionally long seasons the pictures shown at it havo enjoyed. This fact can point only to one. thing, that the pictures have been really good, in that they havo had infinite capacity to entertain and. amuse. Now there comes another picture which easily equate the high standard eet by its predecessors. It is n. bold thing to say that "One Heavenly .Night" is better than the pictures that have been shown previously at the Flaza, particularly eo when it is Remembered \h»t "Whoopee" was one of them and "Plunder" another, but ~there really seems to bo something about "One. Heavenly Night" that enables it to uphold even tho most'extravagant things said in, its .praise. For a picture-to bo a success ' certain ingredients, suoh as- comedy, adventure, sparkling dialogue, drama, or romance-are essential. The ingredients. vary according to the type of picture. There are many ways of • introducing these ingredients, mixing them, and presenting them to the public in palatable form. Those who havo not seen the latest at the 'Plaza, may imagine that -they know of all those, different ways, but the producers have discovered .an entirely new.; recipe Further, .'they ■ have christened the result very : aptly, for "One Heavenly: Night" destroys no; anticipations that have been provoked' by its ir.triguing name. Probably the greatest contributing factor to the success is. Evelyn Laye, with her beautiful voice, oharmin» personality, and wonderful ability. . She has been described ft 6. "the idol -of two continents." It seems almost certain ! from this, her first picture, that she' Vfill: now'\become the idol of the talking .screen. Supporting her there are John Boles, famous for his performance in "Bio Rita," who is even better in this picture, and Leon Errol, who is funnier than be has ever been before. "One Heavenly Night" -has splendid supporting films. ....
