Seventeen yearsago yesterday (May 29th) the great Canadian mail Eteamer Kmpress of Ireland, was wrecked ifi the Rivor St. Lawrence, and -1014 lives were lost. The disaster ..was caused by collision with a Norwegian collier, the Storstadt, Among those who- perished were Lawrence Iwing, the actor, and his wife.
