Mr T. E. Wilce (president) presided ata~ meeting -of the Committee of the Waimate Winter Show and Poultry Association. „ Uhe following class stewards were appointed:—poultry, Messrs J- Batten, O. Creba, J. Johns, L." Batten, J. Carbis, W. Chamberlain, T. Wilce, E. C.' d'Auvergne, V. Sugars, and B. Pelvin; pigeons and canaries, Messrs A. Segar, H. Allington, F. Creba,'and J. Carbis; farm and garden produce, Messrs W. L. Geddes.W. Geddes, P. Pollock, J. Hutt, A. J. Deadmarsh. sen., J. Reid, C. Hammond, J. T. Hay, and E. O. d'Auvergne; gram, Mr J. Betten; fruit, Messrs H. Albngton, A. H. Naish, J. D. S. Boberts ; paintings, Mr H. Slee; photography, Mr J. Boberts; eookery, Messrs W. Paul and W. Chamberlain. ' -J Judges' steward? were appointed as I follows:—Poultry, Messrs E. Wright i and C. Coventry; garden produce, Messrs W. Geddes,.C. Hammond, E. C. Studholme, E. C. d'Auvergne, and J. Hutt; fruit, Mr W; Chamberlain; fancy work, Messrs J. and L; sßetten. The Mayor (Mr G. Dash) wrote accepting the position of patron of the i Society and enclosing donation. Mr B. | Thompson (Christchurch) wrote agreeing to judge the Canaries' at the coming show. The secretary! reported that Mr A. S. Palmer (Christchurch) had accepted the position of judge of the poultry. It was decided to ask Mr Forbes Wallace to be the auctioneer for the,show. ' • « .•••'
