General Bercnguer's arrest will probabl.v begin a series of indictments for responsibility, for various acts under the dictatorship. In one case General Heredia, Captain-General of Saragossa. under whose jurisdiction Gall*a and Hernandez were condemned at Jaca, will be tried, and there will also be tried General Franco, who has ft brilliant Moroccan war record, and who is a brother of the noted Republican airman. Ho wili defend General Berenguer. Legal proceedings are pending against General Amido, who is now on a cruise in the Mediterranean. , Tbfi Press of the Left Group continues to clamour for the blood of the dictators and the indictment of Alfonso, but Senor Leroux, apropos of prosecuting Alfonso, says that they might as well prosecute the moon. -Nevertheless ah attempt will be made to induce the Cortes to open the ease, if the Government will not. FIVE-DAY WEEK. TRADE UNION RESOLUTION. (Received April 29th, 11.50 p.m.) MADRID, April 29. The International Federation of Trade Unions "passed a resolution in favour of a five-day week for all workers, to diminish unemployment.
