— • RANGIORA. The annual meeting of the Rungiora Ladifis' Physical Culture Hockey Club was held on Wednesday night and was well attended. Mr h. Smith, sen., presided in the absence of the president, Mr C. I. Jennings. A motion was* passed expressing sympathy with the president in his illness and hopes for hie speedy recovery. , The annual report, together with tne I'alanee.ghect, which showed a credit balance of £2l Os 6d, was adopted. Trollope; captain. Miss D. Tyler; physical culture instructor and conch, L. Smith: selection committee, the captain, secretary, and coach; delegates to Hockey Association, Misses Tyler and Wilson; delegate to Lhidley Park Sports Control Board, Mr C, F. Meyer. ' Providing players wore available, it was decided to enter four teams— Senior, senior B, junior, and junior J3—in the competitions. Opening day was fixed for April 18th, th« physical culture class to commence on April •31st. .

KAIAPOI. The annual meeting o£ parishioners of St. Bartholomew's Church, Eaiapoi, was held on Wednesday evening, the vicar, the Rev. C. L. Sparrow, presiding, The financial statement showed that the year had commenced with a dtfbit balance of £46 y l4s Bd, and liabilities totalling £25 10a. The receipts and expenditure account for the year showed; Receipts £559 10g 4d, and expenditure £535 JBs 7d, leaving a credit balance of £24 Os 9d. The balance*sheet showed an excess of assets over liabilities ,of £l9 18s 9d, and a fixed deposit of £SO with the Bank of Now Zealand. The parochial account showed a credit balance of £Bl. , The cemetery account was in credit £25, and the Sunday - School account also showed a credit balance. The quotas from the sub-districts, Flaxtpn, East Eyreton, Clarkvillo, and Ohoka, had been paid in full. All contributions' to qiisgions had been fully mot, include ing St. Anne's Homo £lO, Maori mission £5 10s, £lO from the Sunday. School to provide for the support of a Melanesian Mission scholar, and other missions £sl 19s 3d. ..

The viear reported that during the fear Mr H. W, Childs, people's warden, ad resigned- Mr G, H. Garbutt had taken over the position, and after his unfortunate death by accident .Mr J. W. EHmers had been elected. Mr H. Best, organist to the church, had resigned, and Miss Childs was carrying on the work very efficiently, - The Vicar again nominated Mr R. H, Belcher as vicar's warden. Held in the Botanio Gardens, Christchurch, under ideal weather conditions, the annual picnic of the local school was attended by a large number of parents, friends, and children. It was a complete success.

LINCOLN. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Stephen's Church, Bineoln, was held in the, Pioneer Hall on Wednesday evening, Tho viear (Rev. A. H. Acheson) was in the chair. The expenditure showed £137 I 2b Bd. Income fell short by only £9 i 10s lOd. The Murray Bequest had , been divided into two parts during thq I -year, and the sum of £250, plus interest, £57 2s 6d, had been set aside to accumulate at compound interest as a : new church building fund. There was' a credit balance of £l9 4s 9d in tho Murray Bequest interest account.
