The annual meeting of the Lyttolton Ladies' Hockey Club was held on Thurs- > day evening, Mr. H. W. Bogero presiding over a good attendance. The secretary's action in arranging a match against the Bed cliffs Ladies' CJuK on Easter Saturday at Lyttelton was approved. ■ Seven, new members, were; elected and one resignation received. Ifcwas decided to elect Miss Norah Carson an honorary member'and' wish her.a speedy recovery from her illness. ' The annual report showed that -the, , club • had had a successful season. Bef ginning with twelve members last season the club has doubled its member- . ' ship and completed the season with a • credit balance "of £l3 8s sd. One team had been entered in the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Association competitions} and the .year's experience had been a good education. Quested, and 1. Mather. The opening day. was fixed for April ; 11th: The annual subscription was fixed » at 7s 6d. The committee were authorised td> pay travelling expenses where advisable. It was decided to record the committee's appreciatidn of the services of the. retiring secretary, Miss A. Davies.
