MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNS.
A NEW ZEALANDEIt KILLED. {raiTKD PHES3 ASSOCIATION —BY EIXCIEJO TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) SYDNEY. December 3. Crushed in a car smash which occurred between Bop;a and Cobargo. Andrew Smith, aged 45, a New Zealander. gave a farewell message for his wife and family, and then died in a friend's arms. With John Mornington, also a. New Zealander, he was motoring from Melbourne, when the car somersaulted twice over an embankment. Mornington was uninjured. "I am dying," said Smith. "Cable my wife and family." He then fell back dead. SMITH ONE-TIME RESIDENT OP NEW PLYMOUTH. (PP. ESS ASSOCIATION TELSGP.AIi.) NEW PLYMOUTH, December 3. Andrew Smith was a resident of New Plymouth for a number of years, where he was proprietor of a motor garage. He held a commission in the Territorials, saw service in the Great War, and was invalided home. Ho took a prominent part in amateur theatricalsOf recent years he has resided in the South Island and was employed in the insurance business.
