The discussion concerned the questions likely to arise at Geneva in June nest year, when the International Labour Conference will again consider the formulation of an international Convention on the underground hours of coalminers.
The two Ministers were able to roach an understanding of each other's point of view. There were also informal discussions on the economic aspects of international coal questions, and Herr Stegerwald agreed to convey Mr Shinwell's suggestions to the German Government.
