The vessel Hirundo was seized on the high seas by pirates, who -were travelling as passengers. ( They landed with their booty at Mirs Bay, near the notorious Bias Bay pirates', haunt. The vessel was due at Hong Kong today. The piracy was not accompanied -by loss of life. Fourteen pirates seized the ship. Six shots were fired, and a steward was .wounded. Tbe cargo was untouched. The passengers', crew's, and officers' effeets were Tooted, and two Chinese were taken for ransom. Seven Norwegians, including the captain's wife, wore not molested. [Tho- Hirundo, - a steamer of 1943 tons, was built in 1926 at Fredrikstad. She 'is owned by the Bruusgard Kiosteruds Company, and her port of registry is Drammen, Norway.]
