Oliver Charles Ewings, aged 30, a crane driver, was charged with the theft, on December Ji.th, 1929, of one glass dish, valued * fc ? 9 * tte of the New Zealand Railway Department. w ®s convicted and fined £2 and eosti, the value of the property to be repaid, in default 14 days' imprisonment. He was allowed 14 days in which to pay. MAINTENANCE CASES. (Before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.) For breaches of maintenance orders the following were dealt with:— Ronald Maurice Bullivant was fined £2. Frederick Charles Rhode Clarke, whose arrears amounted to £155 Is, wao convicted and sentenced to six months' imprisonment, the issue of the. warrant to be suspended for one month, and- thereafter so long as *6 is paid then, and arrears are paid off at the rate of 2s 6d per week, in addition to the amount of. the current order. Ernest AlbeVfc Green, who did not ap* pear, was convicted and sentenced to two months' imprisonment, provided arrears are paid off. £7 forthwith, and thereafter at the | rate of 5s per in addition to the i amount of the current order. Victor Marcantelli was convicted and sen- | tesced tx> 14 days* imprisonment, j William Ditton Wade was convicted and sentenced to seven days* imprisonment. Charles Mayo, who was £203 in arrears,' was convicted and sentenced to three months* imprisonment, tho issue of the warran to be suspended provided arrears are paid oflf at the rate 6f 10s per week, in addition to the amount of the current order. CASES DISMISSED. The case in vhieh Susie Nott proceeded against William Leonard Nott for disobedi* onco of a maintenance order was dismissed. The case in which Robinia Pike (Mr W. J. Stacey? proceeded. against William Cyril Pike (Mr M. J. Burns) on a complaint for maintenance, separation, and guardianship, based on the grounds of persistent cruelty, was dismissed. Frederick Oflfwood Ball proceeded against John Poulsen for disobedience of a maintenance order. The case was dismissed.
