The Wellington Tannery and Factory was gutted by flriß this morning. The damage is estimated at '£loo,ooo. There was no Fire Brigade, and residents in pyjamas formed bucket y chains and endeavoured to Bave part of the plant. Two hundred operatives have heen rendered idle.
