EX-STUDENTS' DRAMA CLUB
' At the Training College Hall, on Saturday night, the members of the Training College Ex-Students' Drama Club gave a splendid presentation of an unusual and original play, produced under the direction of Miss Ironside. The number of plays staged—and very well staged—by the students and ex-students of the College, each year, is remarkable, and -speaks volumes for their enthusiasm, their diligence, and their earnestness. Obviously, they enjoy dramatic work, and they have recently improved greatly in stagecraft and have raised their standard of production. On Saturday night tho part of an Oxford undergraduate was admirably played by Mr L. Ilewland, who shared the honours of the evening with Mr M. 3ull, a'finished performer with a fine voice and clear enunciation. Miss Florence Brewing, as a modern flapper, with a limited vocabulary, a profound ignorance of the correct use of words, and a wonderful knowledge of "the mories" ■was most entertaining. Others in the east -were Miss Bella Veale, Alessrs A. Haley, E. Knapp, K. Loney, and 11. Smith. The play was staged by Mr M- Bull, assisted by members of tho club. > Music was provided by a small orches tra comprising Messrs C. L. Martin (piano), Donald Woodward ('cello), Martin (horn), and Miss Deal (violin).
