LADIES' INTER-BOROUGH MATCH On Saturday evening a team from the Xe-.v i Brighton Ladies' Miniature Rifle Club fired the annual inter-borough mntch with the Sumner ladies' team on the New Brighton raruje. A triangular match, on Saturday evening, was fired betwen Timaru, Waimate, and Oamaru Miniature Rifle Associations, attracting a large number of riflemen to Willowbridge. The shooting v/as of a high standard, and after keen competition Waimate won, with a total score of 793, Timaru scoring 788, and Oamaru 780. A shield for competition each year between, these Associations was presented by Mr P. Lewis, of Timaru, and this was hnnded to Mr C. Faulkener (president of the Waimate Association), on behalf of the winning team. Tho scores were:— Waimate—N. Gibson 80. L. Morrison 80, O. Bennett 80, A. ITawke' 80, B. Richardson 80" C. Paulkener 80, F. Saunders 79, O. Blair 79, S. Blair 78, C. Wright 77; total 793. Timaru —A. Agnew 80, W. Taylor 80, J. Bennett 80, L. "McKeefrey 79, R. Mcllwrick 7£>, R. Armstrong 79, W. Duncan 79. T. Thompson 78, W. Bradshaw 77, J. Mooro 77; total 788. Oamaru —J. Howell 79, (J. Doran 79, H. Stevenson 79. W. Gibson 78, H. Koppert 78, G. Brightwell 77, E. Sinclair 76, D. Park 75; total 780. At the conclusion of the shoot it was decided to make the mateh an annual fix'ure. Mr Lewis was appropriately thanked for his handsome shield. The visiting riflemen were hospitably entertained by the Waimate Association.
