COUNCIL OF INDUSTRY.
BUSINESS MEN CONSIDER PROPOSAL. (BBITX3B OFFICIAL WIBELESS.) (Received September 28th, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY. September 27. A meeting of industrialists and commercial men was held at London yesterday to consider a proposal to establish a National Council of Industry and Commerce. Sir William Morris, the prominent motor manufacturer, who presided, moved two motions, one in favour of recasting the fiscal, policy of this country, and the other advocating a drastic reduction nf taxation. The proposals were carried unanimously.
