Whitley, who led the Farmers' Touring : Party in New Zealand early thi<strear, -gave an address to ihe Rotarv'Club ot Reading; last week, hir, subject being Now Zealand. Mr Whitley had much to say .The'only drawback to the great kindness everywhere shown to the visitors was that there was not time enotig'i ro enjoy it all. There was a great deal of noisy, interruption,' hut Mr .Redwood seems to have carried his points very firmlv. The Rev. J. E. Parsons. (St. Paul's Methodist Church, Palmerston North) received a cordial welcome at the Engli*h Methodist Conference, held at Bradford, Sheffield, and Leeds, which; he attended : as the representative of the New Zealand Conference. He ad--dressed all the assemblies and created a very favourable impression of life and work of his church in the Dominion. At the conference at Leeifc he was accompanied by Mrs and Miss Parsons. Then all throe made'a-;Scot-tish tour, spending a few days m the far north as the guests of Mrs MeCreath, Clynelish Farm, Lroro. • Manyapplications are being made for Mx Parsons's services, and among the appointments'accepted are Walsall Wesleyan Mission, Wesley's Chapel. City Road, and Guernsev Weslev Guild Festival (October oth)'!
