MAGISTERIAL. CHILDREN'S COURT. SATURDAY. (Before Mr H. A. Young;, S.M.; Mi* T Green, J.P., and Mr W. M. Wait, J P.) A boy aged 18, who had previously ap pcaitd before the Court, waa furthw charged with the thaft on September sth, at Christchurch, of 17* M In monsy. Servant U. Hodgins said the boy had frone into a shop and taken the money and a cash box from under the counter. The money "had since been recovered. The boy's father a&id he had had no trouble with hitn at home, and could not eoe any reason for the theft. The constable had informed him of the occurrence, and both he and the boy's mother had thrashed him. He thought he had broken the boy's association with an undesirable grow) of boye who had had occasion to appear b'efore the Court. The Magistrate admonished the boy and placed him under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for two years. Another boy aged 16 wae fined la for cycling on the footpath.
